Behavior Modification services are available for pets of any age displaying aggression, anxiety, or fear-based behaviors, including those receiving or being considered for veterinarian-prescribed behavior medications or supplements.
Behavior Modification Consultation Fee: $500
It includes:

A thorough review of your pet’s medical, behavioral, and training history (notes compiled in advance of the consultation).

90-120 minute in-home consultation.

A folder containing initial educational materials.
-
A written Post-Consultation Visit Summary, including findings, recommendations, and an environmental management/safety plan, shared with both you and your pet’s care team.
During the consultation, Andrea will:

Answer your questions about your pet’s behavior.

Gather a complete understanding of your pet’s history, needs, and environment.
-
Determine the best path forward to support both you and your pet.
This session may include:

Developing an individualized environmental management and behavior modification training plan.

Collaborating with your primary veterinary team to support your pet’s medical, behavioral, and training needs.

Referral to veterinarians with a special interest in behavior (non-board certified).
-
Referral to a board-certified veterinary behaviorist.
-
Referral to trusted positive reinforcement trainers who specialize in your goals.
Andrea will also provide education on your pet’s body language, helping you learn to recognize and interpret their signals across different contexts so you can better support them and become their strongest advocate. Additionally, she will give guidance on environmental management strategies tailored to your home’s layout to reduce exposure to fear, anxiety, or stress triggers.
Virtual Consultation:

The client lives outside the in-person service areas.

All Behavior Modification pet guardians have the option to determine whether they feel confident implementing the management strategies and training goals on their own, or if they’d prefer additional hands-on support and guidance from Andrea.

What happens next?
After the initial consultation has been performed for pets in need of Behavior Modification support, training sessions in 60-minute increments can be scheduled as desired by the pet guardian.
The 60-minute training session fee: $200
The training session activities include:

Establishing training goals.
-
Beginning and advancing training exercises as deemed appropriate for the level of the learners. (Pet and pet guardian.)

Receive visual and audio demonstrations with explanation as Andrea works with your pet.
-
Receive coaching and feedback as Andrea observes you working with your pet.
After each training session, pet guardians will receive an after visit written training plan outlining environmental management strategies, instructions, and additional resources to advance behavior modification goals.
As some pets may be receiving behavior modification medications and/or behavior supplements prescribed by their veterinarian, Andrea remains in contact with the pet's veterinary care team to aid in advancing the pet's overall well-being and the needs of their pet guardians.
